01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
02 - In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
03 - Beat in egg and vanilla extract until combined.
04 - In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
05 - Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
06 - Gently fold in diced strawberries and strawberry jam until evenly distributed.
07 - Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
08 - Bake for 11-13 minutes until edges just start to turn golden.
09 - Remove from oven and immediately press a chocolate kiss into center of each cookie.
10 - Let cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire rack to cool completely.
