02 - Cover the bowl or jar tightly and place it in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours or overnight to allow the oats to absorb the liquid and soften.
03 - In the morning, give the oats a good stir. Add a splash of milk if a thinner consistency is preferred.
04 - Top with fresh berries, sliced banana, chopped nuts, nut butter, or shredded coconut before serving. Enjoy cold straight from the fridge.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • Five minutes of effort before bed means you wake up to breakfast that is already done and waiting for you.
  • The protein from Greek yogurt and protein powder keeps you full far longer than standard oatmeal ever could.
  • You can switch up toppings and flavors endlessly so you never get bored even after months of making it.
02 -
  • Protein powder can clump if you dump it in all at once so try adding it gradually while stirring to get a perfectly smooth mixture.
  • These oats keep beautifully for up to three days in the refrigerator which means you can prep two or three jars at once without any loss in texture or flavor.
03 -
  • Layer the ingredients in your jar in reverse order starting with the wet ingredients at the bottom and oats on top then shake vigorously for easier mixing with no spoon required.
  • Freeze overripe bananas in slices and drop a few frozen pieces right into the oats before refrigerating for natural sweetness and an even creamier morning texture.
