Chocolate Dipped Strawberries Nuts (Printer-friendly)

Fresh strawberries coated with smooth chocolate and topped with crunchy nuts for a sweet treat.

# What you'll need:

→ Fruit

01 - 20 large fresh strawberries, rinsed and thoroughly dried with stems on if possible

→ Chocolate

02 - 7 oz good-quality dark or milk chocolate, chopped
03 - 1 tablespoon coconut oil or unsalted butter (optional for smoother chocolate)

→ Nuts

04 - 1/3 cup finely chopped nuts such as pistachios, almonds, hazelnuts, or pecans

# Method:

01 - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
02 - Combine chopped chocolate and optional coconut oil or butter in a heatproof bowl and melt gently over simmering water or in 20-second microwave bursts, stirring until smooth.
03 - Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip into melted chocolate, coating about two-thirds of the berry, letting excess drip off.
04 - Sprinkle or roll the chocolate-coated portion of each strawberry in the chopped nuts immediately after dipping.
05 - Place dipped strawberries on the prepared baking sheet and repeat with remaining berries.
06 - Allow berries to set at room temperature for 30 to 45 minutes or refrigerate for 10 to 15 minutes until firm.
07 - Serve immediately or store in a single layer in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • Takes less time than deciding what dessert to make, but looks like you spent hours in the kitchen.
  • Works perfectly whether you're feeding yourself or impressing a crowd at a dinner party.
  • Endlessly customizable—swap the nuts, try different chocolates, drizzle with contrasting colors.
02 -
  • Wet strawberries are your enemy—pat them completely dry or the chocolate will slide right off like it's being rejected.
  • Room temperature chocolate tastes better than chilled chocolate, so resist the urge to serve them straight from the fridge unless you're fighting a hot kitchen.
03 -
  • Drizzle white chocolate over dark chocolate–coated berries for contrast that looks gallery-worthy and takes thirty seconds.
  • If your kitchen is warm, chill the strawberries before dipping so the chocolate sets faster and more decisively.
