01 - Line a standard baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper to create a non-stick surface.
02 - In a microwave-safe bowl, gently melt the chocolate. If using, incorporate the coconut oil. Heat in 30-second increments, stirring thoroughly after each interval, until the chocolate is completely smooth and fluid.
03 - Carefully dip each pretzel approximately halfway into the prepared melted chocolate, allowing any excess to drip back into the bowl.
04 - Place the chocolate-coated pretzels onto the prepared baking sheet. Immediately, while the chocolate is still wet, liberally sprinkle the heart-shaped decorations over the dipped portion.
05 - Allow the decorated pretzels to set at room temperature for a minimum of 30 minutes until the chocolate is firm. For quicker setting, refrigerate for 10 minutes.
06 - Once fully set, transfer the chocolate-dipped pretzels to an airtight container. Store at room temperature for up to one week to maintain freshness.
